    Fundamentum is the first album of double bass player Antoine Brochot. It symbolically lays the first phonographic stone of his original universe. Fundamentum also evokes the deep roots between humans and the Earth, which are increasingly missing in our modern societies. The music refers to various earthly elements, sources of life and energy.

    Claiming a jazz with sometimes hip-hop or pop accents, the project is partly inspired by the current New York jazz scene. The music is resolutely turned towards improvisation and interaction. The different protagonists each find a place of choice in arrangements that are sometimes meditative, sometimes sultry.
